What is core training?

Core stands for the "core" (body core) or the "middle". The core training is a form of training to improve body stability (abdomen, pelvis and trunk) or stability of the individual extremities and coordination. In core training, the (deep-lying) muscles in the central part of the body or in the center of the body (between the diaphragm and the hip, i.e. the trunk and pelvis, but also partially the abdominal muscles or the abdomen and the muscles in the muscles) are specifically targeted by certain movement sequences and positions Legs) addressed and trained. Core training is not only good for building muscle, but also good prophylaxis for the body (especially for strengthening the back), as well as avoiding back pain and great training for better mobility (eg shoulders) The core training for many competitive athletes is that sport-specific performance should be increased. This should take place through optimal power development and power transmission through the middle or core of the body. With core training with a core trainer, the (underlying) muscles, which act as a connection or line between the upper body and lower body (abdominal muscles or abdominal muscles, back muscles and spine, parts of the extensor chain). With core training, back pain can also be avoided or improved, for example, by stretching from the starting position. Typical core training exercises include squats, planks, push-ups or forearm supports (for the arms), lunges, as well as front and side supports. The core training can also be seen as a complete whole body training (also addressing the muscles in the arms and in the back or on the spine). For many exercises with a core trainer, your own weight or strength of the body is used and the core training exercises are often performed on the floor with several repetitions.
