What's the score? The scoreboard keeps track
Score and game time always at a glance
Score, playing time, time penalties, set and much more would be remembered by spectators and athletes if the scoreboard did not exist. Thanks to this, players and spectators can concentrate on the game or the competition and still keep track. Each sport has very different requirements for a scoreboard. While an advertisement for handball or volleyball should show more information than just the score, athletes can use a simple lap counter. Not only for this reason it is important to think in advance which purpose and which functions are desired. Booth scoreboards are available in many different versions: as large displays, as display stands for the table, as a lap counter or as a multisport display for a variety of sports on the sports field or in the sports hall.
Analog or digital?
The analog scoreboards are usually manually operated displays. These can be, for example, handy table displays with ring binders, which in addition to the score also the different sets, e.g. in the table tennis, can count. They offer the advantage of being mobile. With digital displays, changes are made at the touch of a button or via a computer. The signal is then transmitted either via cable, infrared or radio. Digital scoreboards are mostly large displays that are tied to a location and are an integral part of sports field or sports hall.
Specific or universal?
Another important point before buying a scoreboard is the usage situation. If, for example, several sports share the sports facility, it can quickly become confined and confusing on the wall. Here multisport displays are a useful solution that offer different display options and yet are easy to read. But if only American football is played on the field and only volleyball in the hall, specific sports scoreboards are the better solution. You can view all relevant information without restrictions.
Outside or inside?
Display panels used in outdoor stadiums, e.g. for football, American football or lap counter for athletics must be weatherproof, whereas ads that are to be mounted in swimming pools must be suitable for wet rooms. This is the only way to guarantee a long service life and reliable functioning of the sports display.
Stationary or mobile?
It is also important to decide between a stationary display on a wall and mobile solutions. This, too, depends primarily on the usage situation of the sports hall or the sports facility. Mobile ads do not necessarily have to be analogue, we also offer portable and battery-powered ads. Stationary displays are also called large displays and are usually fixedly attached to the wall or ceiling of the sports hall.
Buy the right scoreboard
As soon as all important questions have been clarified, aspects such as the ball throwing safety or the operability must of course also be taken into account. It should also be considered at what distance to the ad the spectators are. Depending on the distance, the scoreboard must have a certain number of digits to guarantee good legibility even from a distance. In our range you will find both digital and analog sports ads for table tennis, badminton and volleyball, as well as large displays for handball, rugby or basketball by well-known brands such as Stramatel, Joola or Victor. You can also find distance indicators and lap counters for athletics here. Stramatel scoreboards offer the right scoreboard with all the necessary functions for almost every sport. All Stramatel displays have easy-to-read digit heights, are ball-proof and easy to use.
