High jump is not only a single discipline, but also takes place in the heptathlon and decathlon. During the high jump, the jumper must cross a crossbar without throwing it down. This only needs to be with its own physical strentgh: the jump itself must be done with one leg only. Everything related to your high jump facility, weather school, training or competition, you can find in the Kübler Sport Online Shop.

High jump facilities for schools and clubs

How does high jump work?

In the high jump, a latte as high as possible must be crossed without it falling. There are different jumping techniques for the crossing, the only requirement is that jumping off with one leg. Meanwhile, the Fosbury flop, named after Dick Fosbury, is the first to use this technique. For the flop you take straight, then in a slight curve start-up and turns at the jump so that one jumps with the back first on the crossbar and then follows the legs. After the jump, the jumper lands with his back on the mat and rolls off.

The construction of a high jump facility

A high jump system basically consists of a jump cushion, two jump stands and a high jump lath resting on it, which is skipped. The high jump cushion rests on a slatted frame made of wood or aluminum and has an additional mat layer on top, the so-called wear mat, which protects the core of the mat and thus extends its service life. It protects the main blocks from spiked nails and can be exchanged cost-effectively after prolonged use. If the high-jump mat is not used, the system is protected by a weather-resistant rain cover and at best by a mobile safety cover to protect against wind and weather.

Find the right high jump mat

Kübler Sport offers you high quality high jump cushions for every need. Here you will find the matching high jump cushion for school sports, training or competitions. For international competitions the high jump mat must not be smaller than 6 x 4 x 0,70m, for other competitions not smaller than 5 x 3 x 0,70m. For beginners and school sports, however, smaller mats are sufficient.

At Kübler Sport you will find high jump mats with different foam core systems. Our high jump cushions Standard and Euro in monoblock system consist of large foam blocks, which ensure a soft landing. These mats are ideal for school sports and lower beginner heights. The Aero Type A and B high jump cushions have a hollow chamber system, with hollow foam channels through the foam blocks that allow the air to escape more quickly for a softer landing. Our Matte Aero Dual Cavity System has channels that are evenly spaced across each other for even smoother landing. Both systems are perfect for crossing larger jump heights. The covers of our high jump mats are made of sturdy and tear-resistant tarpaulin fabric with a mesh fabric over the Schleißmatte, the bottom consists of a non-slip gym mat material.

Higher and higher! - with high jump stands and high jump crossbars

In order for the high jump lath to be at the correct height, the lath rests on the jump racks are set appropriately. The jump stands have to be stable and quickly easy to adjust so that the right height can be set up in no time. On the high jump stands then lies on the high jump lath. These are usually made of fiberglass or a similar material. Length, cross section and shape are compulsory for competitions. For beginners, training and school sports are softer and safer alternatives such as the magic string or the Zachariaslatte meaningful.

So that the height is exactly right in the competition, each jump height must be measured and checked with a bar. These are more accurate than a folding rule, but just as easy to handle. These can also be found in our assortment.

The right protection for your high jump system

Our slats made of aluminum or wood protect your system from below and are therefore the perfect base for your jump cushion. Additional brackets for our slatted frames made of sturdy aluminum also prevent slippage of the mat. In order to protect especially the high jump cushion from rain, dirt and foreign use, you will also find suitable rain covers, as well as mobile and lowerable safety covers made of sheet metal or aluminum. These safety covers also provide space for the spring stands, which are also protected from wind and weather.

High jump in the hall

For high jump in the hall in addition to the use of a non-slip high jump cushion and the possibility to build a plant with a separate Schleißmattenüberzug and soft floor mats. For this purpose, two stacked soft floor mats (300x200 cm) are placed next to each other and covered with a Schleißmatten slip lid, so that a total Mattenddicke of at least 70cm is achieved and a soft landing is possible.
