Cross Training - the fitness trend from the USA

Cross Training is the latest fitness trend of the US. Cross Training or the Cross Training workout is a combination of various sports disciplines and trains the whole body. For Cross Training you string different exercises together, just like you did in circuit training. Endurance training, speediness, flexibility, smartness and coordination are required. Cross Training combines weightlifting, artistic gymnastics and athletics and thus Cross Training is the hardest training routine in the world. Cross Training is no sport for real cowards! In the sweaty Cross Training workout you either have to do the most repetitions you can in a given time or you have to do a given number of repetitions as fast as possible. Some exercises in Cross Training do not need big equipment, but for a lot of exercises you use heavy and big weights. The cross training workout has become popular by using heavy weights and big dumbbells. The most popular equipment for Cross Training workout is the kettlebells. The small round dumbbells with the handhold on top are multifunctional. On the one hand the kettlebell can be used as a normal dumbbell for your resistance training. On the other hand the kettlebell offers the possibility to swing. When starting a movement you need one impulse of power and then the kettlebell "flies". The basic exercise is called swing. The swinging movement activates not one single muscle, but various muscles are activated and strengthened at the same time. You activate muscle loops with the swinging exercises. Racks and Functional Training Towers - Cross Training in fitness centres

Cross Training and Cross Training workouts are done in special Cross Training boxes. But with the adequate equipment you can easily do your WOD in your fitness centres or fitness studios and gyms. The main equipment for the training in gyms or fitness centres often are racks or a functional training tower. Here you can do any exercise for any body part you want - for example squats with barbell bars or without, chins or even push-ups. At the chinning rack you can easily mount rings, ropes and slings trainers and even your battle rope can be mounted at the rack or at the tower. Racks offer the possibility to exercise and do workouts together in groups of 12 - 15 persons, depending on the size of the rack and the equipment.
