The therapy mirror is used as a tool in the treatment of phantom pain, nerve injuries, and other diagnoses.
Applications for mirror therapy:
With the mirror system Move Control, the patient is placed in front of the mirror. The injured or amputated hand / foot is covered in front of them. In the mirror image, the healthy hand or foot is now visible. Afterwards, specific stimuli are applied to the healthy body part. After some time, the brain interprets these stimuli as if they were coming from the injured or amputated body part.
