The Scoop Bat Set consists of 2 scoop bats made of multiply laminated plywood and 2 rubber balls. The bat blade is approximately 20 x 24 cm in size, perforated and lined for weight reduction. The bats' handles are wrapped with a synthetic leather grip tape. For the safety of other players, each bat is equipped with a safety strap. The weight of a bat is approximately 160 g.

Even today, the open city championship is played in various classes on approximately 40 Speckbrett courts in the Münsterland region. The playing field is slightly smaller than a tennis court, with a length of 20 m and a width of 9 m. In doubles, the playing field on each side increases by half a meter. The Speckbrett racket, also called a Speckbrett, consists of a wooden board with a handle. The dimensions of the racket are a maximum of 50 x 20 cm. To make the sports equipment as lightweight as possible, the striking surface is provided with a grid-like perforation.
