SPIETH® Round-off Mat
The safety edging for the competition springboard is mandatory for round-off jumps as prescribed by FIG. Round-off jumps involve jumping backward off the springboard. The mat surrounds the springboard on three sides and prevents gymnasts from jumping sideways or backward next to the springboard onto the hard ground and getting injured.
The use of round-off mats is mandatory for round-off jumps in FIG competitions.
