The popular table tennis table Joker from Schildkröt is the entry-level model with a great price-performance ratio. The Joker is perfect for recreational play at home in the hobby room, garage, etc. The table top is made of a 19 mm chipboard. Chipboards are also used in competition tables and have a significantly better (higher) ball bounce than all outdoor tables (e.g., aluminum composite boards or melamine resin boards). However, chipboards are not waterproof and therefore should not get wet. There is no issue with playing in a dry garden, but the table must then be stored back indoors! The blue base with folding mechanism is made of 25mm powder-coated steel; 4 double wheels with a large 125mm diameter are mounted underneath (making it easier to move on uneven surfaces), 2 of the double wheels are swivel for easy maneuvering. The folding mechanism is secured against unintentional opening of the table by a certified rotary handle locking system. A safety entry protection is mounted on the side to prevent children from climbing between the panels (and experiencing serious pinches in case of opening). Only one half of the table can be folded up on the Joker; the so-called playback function also allows solo play (you play "against the wall" similar to squash).
