- How does the sport of tchoukball work?
- It is a team sport with a mixture of handball, volleyball and the Basque pelote. It is played by two teams of 7 players on 2 tchoukball frames that "bounce" the tchoukball back. The field is about the size of a bastketball field and there is a frame at the end of each field. Points are scored by the teams by throwing the ball at the frame. Both teams may throw at both frames. If the opposing team catches the rebound, they can immediately switch to attack. If the ball hits the ground after rebounding, the attacking team has the point. The idea is to play a team sport that is free from any physical attack between opponents. Rather, the idea is to be encouraged to move one's body in a playful way, regardless of age, gender and physical constitution.
