The basic idea of the Parabelstep is to extend conventional step training with deep muscle training. For this purpose, a stepper had to be developed that brings with it a defined horizontal instability. It may sound complicated, but it isn't. The athlete quickly gets used to the pleasant, cushioning feeling and the slight instability created by the rubber feet.

Dr. Tusker, Chair of Training Science at the Technical University of Munich, has already tested the Step and found it to be effective:
"When performing movements on the stepper, the rubber feet give a slight give, causing the stepper to move slightly in the direction of the applied force. In order to still perform targeted movements, more muscles are activated, which fulfill two tasks:
- Perform the body's movement
- Ensure stability on the moving surface..."
