How does Korfball work?

The objective in Korfball is to throw more baskets than the opposing team - just like in basketball. However, these two sports differ considerably. The most important difference: Korfball players do not play with a backboard behind the basket - the aim must therefore be precise. Through the rules of stepping and bouncing, individual dribbling is strongly restricted. In turn, teamwork gains a significantly high importance. Passing, catching, running, and throwing are the most important technical elements and cornerstones of every Korfball game. These can be practiced and implemented in a playful manner already in early childhood.
