Dart darts produce a "knocking sound" when hitting the dartboard, which can sometimes be perceived as very disturbing in your own environment or by neighbours. Together with soundproofing experts, Karella® has now developed the perfect solution to almost completely eliminate the noise.

The 2-piece Karella® soundproofing consists of a soundproof core, on which the steel dartboard is mounted, and a surrounding soundproof ring. Both parts are made from millions of highly specialised soundproof fibres. The interaction between the soundproof core and the surrounding soundproof ring achieves an almost complete decoupling of the noise. When the dart hits, the dull knocking sound is transmitted via the back of the dartboard to the entire fibre panel. Professional measurements have demonstrated a noise reduction of over 80% in the dart room as well as adjacent rooms. The measured values were below 30 dB, thus fully preserving the legal night-time quiet.

The anthracite-coloured Karella® soundproofing covers an area of 12 cm around the dartboard and, due to its material composition, is also ideal as a surround (catch ring). This dual function makes the purchase of the soundproofing even more economical. The fibre material is tested for harmful substances and contains no chemical additives (odourless). The soundproofing is very dimensionally stable, making it robust and durable, as it is almost wear-free.
