hummel® CLASSIC ENERGIZER Handball

The training handball ENERGIZER features a latex bladder with air valve for excellent shape retention, as well as soft foam with an outer layer made of 100% PU.

Features

  • Material: 53% rubber, 20% polyurethane, 15% thermoplastic polyurethane, 9% polyester, 3% latex
  • Construction: TPE foam, PU outer shell, and wrapped ball bladder
  • Processing: Machine-sewn

Who decides whether playing handball with resin is allowed or not?

The IHF initially only specifies that both types of handballs are permitted in official games, provided they meet the required size and weight standards. The final decision on the use of resin does not lie with the IHF, but rather with the venue operators. Even if the IHF allows the use of resin, a sports hall can prohibit it due to cleaning and maintenance requirements. Conditions and regulations therefore vary from place to place. Some regional associations are already completely banning the use of resin to standardise conditions across leagues.
