hummel® 14-piece CLASSIC ENERGIZER Set

The CLASSIC ENERGIZER training handball features a latex bladder with an air valve for excellent shape retention, as well as soft foam with an outer layer made of 100% PU. The ball is therefore extremely shape-retaining, offers a soft ball contact, and is also suitable for playing with resin.

Here in a convenient training set with a sufficient number of balls for the whole team or school class, a spacious ball bag, and a practical ball pump, so that training can start right away.

What are the advantages of a latex bladder?

Latex is often used and preferred because the material is lighter than butyl, making the ball feel more comfortable. Latex is also very elastic, making it lively and flexible, offering the highest quality for the playing experience. However, don’t be surprised if the air loss is slightly higher due to its elasticity, so the ball should be regularly re-inflated.

Who decides whether playing handball with resin is allowed or not?

The IHF initially only states that both types of handballs are permitted in official play as long as they meet the specified size and weight standards. The final decision on the use of resin does not lie with the IHF but rather with the venue operators. Even if the IHF allows the use of resin, a sports hall can prohibit it due to cleaning and maintenance requirements. Therefore, conditions and regulations vary from place to place. Some regional associations have already completely banned the use of resin to standardise conditions within the leagues.
