Sturdy stainless steel hammer wire for throwing hammers. Available in different lengths for all competition classes.
Hammer throw
The hammer throw is a throwing discipline in athletics. The aim is to hurl a metal ball attached to a steel wire as far as possible. The athlete grasps the handle of the hammer with both hands and initially swings it around their body to accelerate it, releasing it in the direction of flight at maximum speed. The men's hammer weighs 7.26 kg, while the women's hammer weighs 4 kg. The weight of the hammers is equivalent to the shot put balls used in shot put events.
