Pure paraffin is used as an additive in the production of mud packs. It is added to the mud pack in a mud mixer and then heated.

However, the paraffin mixture can also be heated in paraffin baths and used as therapy equipment for heat therapy. Hands, feet, and joints are dipped into the paraffin bath and treated with various exercises.

T3262 - Pure paraffin, melting point: 40-42 degrees Celsius
T3261 - Pure paraffin, melting point: 50-52 degrees Celsius

Proper application of paraffin:
The two versions have different melting points. For heating in a paraffin bath, paraffin with a melting point of 40-42 °C should be ordered. The paraffin is applied directly to the skin and should therefore not be used too hot.

The paraffin with a melting point of 50-52 °C is suitable for adding to mud and is added directly to the mud mixer. This changes the consistency of the mixture.

For easier dosage, the hard paraffin DAB 10 is delivered in plates. The mixture can be reused up to 30 times in mud applications. Please note that for hygienic reasons, the mixture should be heated to 130 °C.

Areas of application: For hand exercises and for symptomatic heat radiation treatment of rheumatic pain, circulatory disorders, and neuralgia. The pad can be reused up to 30 times. A prerequisite for this is a heat treatment after each use at 130 °C. The required time for this depends on the decontamination device used and requires careful monitoring by the user.
