False starts in swimming are indicated using a false start system. In the event of a false start, an acoustic signal sounds and the false start line must be dropped. The set consists of two anodised aluminium posts, 160 cm long (150 cm above ground) with an eyelet for attaching the line on one post and the rope attachment for quick release on the other post. Line and ground sleeve must be ordered separately.
