Wooden Baseball Bat
The wooden baseball bat is made from a single piece of hardwood. The baseball bat has excellent weight distribution and feels very comfortable in the hand. The wooden baseball bat is equally well-suited for beginners, recreational players, and school sports.
The wooden baseball bat is available in two versions:
- 28" long (approx. 71 cm) - suitable for children aged 9-12
- 30" long (approx. 76 cm) - suitable for children aged 9-15

What should I choose: a wooden baseball bat or an aluminum baseball bat?
The German Baseball Federation (DBV) only recommends the use of wooden bats in the Bundesliga. In school sports or as a hobby, aluminum bats can be used normally. In softball, wooden bats are not allowed, only aluminum softball bats.
Wooden bats generally vibrate upon impact, which is considered a disadvantage. They are also heavier than aluminum bats, making it harder to hit the ball. They are made from ash, walnut, or beech wood.
Aluminum baseball bats vibrate less upon impact and are lighter than wooden bats, making it easier to hit the ball. Pure aluminum is too soft and would deform, so aluminum bats are made from a material mixture or alloy. Aluminum bats are required for softball in the baseball variant of the sport.
