German Federal Association of Sport Article Industry (BSI)
Founded in 1910, the BSI Federal Association of the German Sport Goods Industry - is an entrepreneurial association of German sports goods manufacturers, importers and wholesalers. Its members include 150 leading, mostly medium-sized companies. Among them are international market leaders such as Adidas, Puma, Asics, Fischer, Völkl, Marker, Lowa, Vaude, Tatonka or Kettler and such renowned equestrian sports companies as Cavallo, Passier, Pikeur, Sprenger or Waldhausen. The German sport article industry directly or indirectly employs 120,000 people who generate annual turnover of 10 billion Euro.
The BSI is a member of the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) with head offices in Brussels and thus also a member of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) with head offices in Lausanne. The BSI is the co-founder and honorary sponsor of the Cologne trade fairs spoga and spoga horse and honorary sponsor of the Munich event ispo Winter, the world?s leading sports fair. At the same time it is the promoter of the Munich event Golf Europe as well as fsb in Cologne. The Outdoor Special Group within the BSI is the founder of the OutDoor Friedrichshafen fair.
