The basketball hoop is very sturdy and features a spring mechanism that reduces the risk of backboard damage and protects basketball players from injuries. The basketball hoop is made of powder-coated steel tubing and is therefore only suitable for indoor basketball facilities. The basketball hoops with a spring-reinforced folding mechanism tilt up to a maximum of 30° according to the requirements of the DIN and FIBA at a load of 750 or 1050 N and snap back into the original position without recoil when unloaded.

OFFICIAL basketball hoops have safety net attachment according to the specifications of the DIN and FIBA. The basketball net is held in place by a continuous steel wire on this hoop. This type of net attachment and the completely enclosed housing of the spring mechanism completely eliminate the risk of injury from protruding or bent net hooks. The diameter of the basketball hoop is 45 cm according to official regulations.
